Forest Felony -
A Merlion Diorama
For this project, I deconstructed the iconic Merlion and reimagined it within a surreal, post-apocalyptic narrative. Focusing on the body of the Merlion, I created a diorama that envisions it as an archaeological discovery, accompanied by two policemen investigating the site.
The scene imagines a future where the Merlion exists as a relic of the past, shifting its meaning from a national symbol to a mysterious artefact. Through composition, material, and storytelling, the project explores themes of time, decay, and reinterpretation, transforming a familiar icon into a speculative visual narrative.
