This project reimagines online dating by addressing the common challenges of lack of meaningful connections, dating fatigue, and limited in-person interactions. Through research and surveys, we found that Gen Z and millennials seek more organic and engaging ways to connect beyond superficial swiping. To solve this, we developed MeetCute, a community-driven feature that integrates curated events into Bumble, allowing users to meet like-minded people through shared interests like book clubs or baking sessions. This approach fosters authentic, real-world interactions, making dating feel more natural and less mechanical. To showcase this concept, we created a video that highlights the problems, insights, and how MeetCute transforms dating into a more engaging experience.
